Compost, Recycling, & Trash

The Town of Fairfax contracts with All Cycle Waste, Casella, to provide trash, recycling, and compost pickup for all Fairfax residents. Trash and recycling are picked up weekly either on Thursday or Friday depending on your address. Compost is picked up every other week. To see your collection day schedule plug in your address to the app located at the bottom.
A new bin may also be requested through the app.

Weekly Pickup: Please have your Trash/Recycling/Compost containers out by 5:30AM on your collection day. If your service is missed and you have not received notice of a delay, please email the town as soon as possible with your contact information, address, and issue at trash@fairfax-vt.gov.

Hazardous water & bulk items: Twice a year, a household hazardous waste collection is conducted. For more information on dates and what is collected, click here.
